Food Question: What to do with green tomatoes
Entertainment On-line November 2nd. 2011, 5:42pmA co-worker who had to pull lots of green tomatoes off her vine offered me a huge bag of her harvest. I’m thrilled, but I don’t quite know what to do with all these green tomatoes. Make a marmalade? A soup? Maybe a ketchup?
Frying them seems too boring compared to green tomato cake, but that’s another possibility. Maybe I should just let them ripen and wait a little while to make something.
Have you ever made something with green tomatoes? Was it fabulous or did you wish you had waited for them to ripen? Please help.
