The psychologically intense courtroom drama “Damages” is the creation of Bloomfield Hills natives and brothers Glenn and Todd A. Kessler, but the show has been and still is about strong women. Leading the way is Emmy winner Glenn Close, who is back for a fourth season as no-nonsense, play-by-her-own rules attorney Patty Hewes. Not to be underestimated is Rose Byrne’s character Ellen Parsons, who is equally tough and savvy. When the series airs at 10 tonight on DirecTV’s Audience network, Ellen and Patty are more driven than ever and John Goodman is the villain du jour.
