CHICAGO (AP) – It’s safe to say nobody is having their picture taken as much in Chicago right now as Marilyn Monroe.

 

The scene on Friday in a plaza along Michigan Avenue resembled a movie premier, with dozens of people clicking pictures as fast as they could at a 26-foot-tall sculpture of the Blonde Bombshell that was unveiled first thing in the morning.

 

Monroe is taking the famous pose from the movie “The Seven Year Itch,” with her skirt billowing as she enjoys the breeze of a subway grate.

 

But that didn’t mean people weren’t surprised that when they walked around the side and the back of the sculpture, they could see clear as day Monroe’s underwear – her lacy underwear. Th

‘Dancing With The Stars’ winner, Hines Ward, arrested for DUI

Hines Ward, thorn to the Baltimore Ravens and season 12 winner of “Dancing With The Stars” was arrested Saturday in Georgia for DUI.

The Pittsburgh Steeler was released on $1,000 bond.

More news comes out about Nichole Hiltz who stars in the show “In Plain Sight” regarding her detainment by police for suspicion of child neglect.

Hiltz, 32, had been boozing it up and actually called police in what is described as a very slurred speech and talking in gibberish last month on May 31. When the police showed up at the address they fond the blonde blitzed and apparently unable to take care of the child who was with her at the time. She had then been arrested on a possible child neglect charge.

The charge is a misdemeanor and her spokesperson says the entire incident is a misunderstanding. She didnt remain in custody for long and was released. Ho

Lachey, Minnillo ‘marry on tropical island’

NICK Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo were married today in an intimate ceremony on an undisclosed tropical island, People magazine reported.

The pair exchanged vows before 35 of their closest friends and family, a rep for the couple told the celebrity magazine.

Minnillo, 30, wore a two-piece Monique Lhuillier outfit for the ceremony.

Her bridal look featured an embellished lace corset with rose and crystal detail, tailored bow belt at her waist and hand tufted skirt made of silk faille –  topped off with a chapel length tulle veil.

Lachey, 37, wore a Dolce & Gabanna suit to say “I Do.”

The pair, who got engaged in November, had been secretive about the details of their nuptials.

“It was all very vague,” the former 98 Degrees singer said about the instructions for the event given in advance to their guests.

But in June, the couple promised they would give fans a peek into their wedding in a TLC special entitled Nick & Vanessa’s Dream Wedding.

38th Division Band joins six community bands for inaugural festival

TERRE HAUTE — Four-hundred musicians. At least that many instruments. One stage. One day.

A swap meet for vintage trombones, snare drums and electric basses? No.

Instead, Saturday’s On the Banks of the Wabash Community Band Festival at Fairbanks Park promises to be even more unique. Six community bands — Paris and Marshall from Illinois, and Crawfordsville, Brazil, Greenwood and host Terre Haute — will perform, as well as the highly touted 38th Division Band of the Indiana Army National Guard. Admission is free.

The 38th Division Band plays nearly 50 shows a year, in various ensembles and settings, but the concert alongside six bands from Hoosier communities “is a first for us,” said Pat Palumbo, the band’s commander and chief warrant officer for the past 29 years.
